Halloween 2013!

Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! I know we did! :-)

"We learned that in reading we chunk the words if we don't know the word. We also can do retell the story that you are reading and we can do stop and think. We also learned in writing we can do catchy leads like setting, dialogue, and action. We also do awesome endings like summarize, lesson learned, and emotion. in word work we get new words on Mondays and we do word sorts on 4 days."-Arnav

"We are learning about reading that if you don't know that word you skip and read the rest then go back and reread it. We are learning about writing that we are make small moment and making catchy leads, awesome endings, make little seeds. We did reading. We learned about the story of McDuff. We did writing. We learned how to choose a watermelon or seed idea. They are called small moments. We did math. We did the commutative property. We did counting on. We had fun at recess and with Ms. Sampson.

Welcome Back!

Summer Lovin'

        I am so excited to finally begin a blog that can serve as a means for communicating school and community wide! Although the summer has just begun, (and I have to admit that I am settling in very well) I still can't get my mind off the approaching school year! I have been preparing for a great upcoming year! Now, I still have to force myself to enjoy summer, so until then...looking forward to meeting everyone for the first time in September! Happy Summer! :-)
